Ladd started surveying in 1992 following an honorable discharge from the Army.  A survey internship with the promise of hiking and camping in Idaho’s central mountains sparked a lifelong passion and career.  Ladd has spent the past 27 years studying and growing within the survey profession. Prior to re-joining T-O in March of 2018, Ladd served eight years as the City Surveyor for Olympia, Washington.  Throughout his career he has served as a project surveyor, project manager and survey department manager.  He currently serves as a project surveyor working on a variety of projects and disciplines from design surveys, large transportation, and municipal right-of-way projects, boundary surveys, floodway studies, and elevation certificates.  In his free time, he enjoys long walks on the green belt, traveling, skiing, riding his Harley and Spyder, pina coladas, and getting caught in the rain.
