Job Description

T-O Engineers is seeking an Aviation Planner with three or more years of experience to join our rapidly expanding Aviation Group, working from our Spokane office. Candidates need to have a bachelor’s degree as well as have experience with Aviation Planning and the FAA planning process. Strong computer and communication skills are a must.  Common work tasks will include:

  • Assist our project managers with preparation of airport master plans, airport layout plans, airport system plans, and other incidental aviation planning tasks, in accordance with FAA Advisory Circulars and State DOT Standards.
  • Presentation of work products to aviation clients and the general public.

Position Requirements & Responsibilities Include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a planning or aviation field.
  • Three years of aviation planning experience.
  • Knowledge of the FAA planning process, specifically FAA AC 150/5070-6B.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Strong communication skills essential for team-based working environment and public presentation of work products.
  • Must be proactive and willing to take on new challenges.
  • Willing to work on business development and help grow our aviation practice.
  • Experience with GIS, AutoCAD, and airport simulation software
  • Professional network of airport staff and other aviation planners is a plus.
