Job Description

  • Lead inspection practice for T-O Engineers Spokane and Coeur d’Alene offices.
  • Organize construction inspection team, schedules, and strategy.
  • Responsible for all phases of construction work, procedures, and progress to assure compliance with plans, specifications and standards.
  • Supervises technical staff and performs inspections of municipal, transportation, and aviation projects.
  • Computes, reviews and verifies pay quantities, computations, and materials; reviews compliance with plans, and specifications.
  • Prepares/reviews project diaries, testing data, reports, summaries.
  • Coordinates activities with utility companies, local governments, state agencies, property owners and contractors.
  • During off-peak times, assist engineers with design tasks.

Position Requirements

  • Degree in construction management or similar field is required
  • Construction management or inspection experience is required
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D or Microstation design experience is a plus
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge and experience with the administration of Federal-Aid projects
  • Proven ability to self-direct and lead others
