Posted on June 15, 2016

Friday evening, Friedman Memorial Airportcelebrated the life and career of engineer, Todd C. Combs. A year after unveiling the expanded remodeled airport terminal, the new Todd C. Combs Management & Operations Center was commemorated. Combs had dedicated much of his professional career to the airport, consulting on taxiway relocation first in 2001. He was working on the airport’s safety project at the time of his death.
“He was the kind of person we all should emulate, the kind of person we were proud to have as a son, father, brother, husband,” added Dave Mitchell, vice president of T-O Engineers. “He devoted a lot of his career to the airport. He loved the community. He loved working with the staff at the airport. When he died, we decided the best thing we could do is to finish the project right.” Todd’s wife, Stephanie, and their two daughters as well as many of our T-O Engineers team members were in attendance as they unveiled the building’s dedication sign created by local artist, Andy Hawley.
