PROJECT: Land Development

Golden West Onion Facility

Parma, Idaho

Client

Golden West Produce, LLC

Construction Value:

Overview:

Golden West Produce, a producer and supplier of fresh onions, experienced catastrophic damage to their onion storage and packaging facilities located in Nyssa, OR from historic snowfall during the winter of 2017. They had planned to move their facilities to a new location outside Parma, ID in a phased manner. However, the damage sustained forced them to expedite the relocation.

T-O Engineers was hired in conjunction with Design West Architects and AEI Construction in March 2017 to assist with developing the new onion facility, including long and short term storage buildings, a state of the art packaging building, and a new corporate headquarters office. The buildings covered more than 180,000 square feet on approximately 12 acres. The project schedule was aggressive, with a desire to be operational by the end of August 2017 for the upcoming onion harvest. T-O Engineers is honored to have been given the opportunity to serve Golden West Produce on this project. We hope the new facility is a foundation for their continued success as a local business.
