PROJECT: Municipal

Post Falls Alley Water Line Replacements

Post Falls, Idaho

Client

City of Post Falls, Idaho

Construction Value:

$477,000

Overview:

T-O Engineers contracted with the City of Post Falls to replace ½ mile of older undersized water lines to provide additional circulation for the city-owned water system.

The project was located in a restricted alley with numerous existing utilities. Water service connections and tie-ins to other water mains had to be kept live during construction, and were reconnected to the new main line once it was operational. Water meters and fire hydrants were relocated or replaced as necessary. The alley was resurfaced with gravel and the cross street asphalt cuts were all repaved.

This successful project allowed for a nearby elementary school to be serviced by the new main lines. T-O Engineers worked closely with the City of Post Falls, school, and contractor in order to maintain service during the successful project construction.
