PROJECT: Municipal

University of Idaho Lagoon Repair and Improvements

Moscow, Idaho

Client

Idaho Division of Public Works

Construction Value:

$750,000

Overview:

The Idaho Division of Public Works (DPW) selected T-O Engineers for this $750,000 project to upgrade the storage and pumping facilities at the University of Idaho’s reclaimed water system. This project replaced the University’s existing wastewater effluent lagoons with a 500,000-gallon cast-in-place effluent storage tank. Replacement of the irrigation pump building and upgrades to the effluent pumping system were also included in the project.

These improvements support the University of Idaho’s compliance with the new Department of Environmental Quality’s (DEQ) Recycled Water Rules, and enabled the University to continue their reclaimed water service to the campus irrigation system. Due to the success of this challenging project, Idaho’s DPW selected T-O Engineers for continuing services on their Small Projects Roster.
