30 Years

T-O Engineers, a full-service planning and engineering firm, is proud to celebrate 30 years in the aviation sector. Founded in 1984, T-O Engineers initially provided civil services primarily to land development and transportation clients. In 1988, T-O Engineers acquired Hosac Engineering and diversified their portfolio by adding aviation services to the company resume.

Three decades later, T-O Engineers serves 36 airports throughout Idaho, Washington and Oregon. Clients range from small general aviation airports to large commercial service airports.

“T-O has not only been able to continue for 30 years but to grow and expand the people and services we offer. It is a testament to both the quality of our people and the way we do business,” said Nathan Cuvala, Aviation Project Manager. “Our clients choose us because they know when they hire T-O Engineers they are getting a firm who can help them from start to finish. Clients don’t have to worry about their projects and are able to focus on other areas of their airport, because they trust we will get the job done right.”

T-O Engineers aviation projects include the recent completion of a $34 million multi-phased project at the Friedman Memorial Airport in Hailey, Idaho. The project was a huge success for the T-O team, and was recognized locally and nationally for multiple transportation awards. Currently, the T-O Engineers Aviation Services group has over 20 professionals dedicated solely to working on airports.

“The leadership of our aviation group has worked side by side for more than 15 years, creating a stable and experienced team” said JR Novell, Regional Manager.  “I see this group continuing to grow farther west into Washington as well as having similar success in our surrounding states. We have an incredible reputation, and our growth is eminent.”

T-O Engineers will be celebrating 30 years in the aviation sector this year with their clients. They will be highlighting the relationships, expertise and projects that have shaped the group into what they are today. Aviation team members will be traveling to visit clients throughout the northwest and thank them for their continued support.

“We truly care about our clients and about doing things the right way.  We care about the communities we serve by improving their airports and we work hard to help those communities accomplish their goals for their airport,” said Aviation Services Manager, Dave Mitchell.  “Of course, we provide great engineering and planning services, but actually caring about the people we serve helps us see our task as more than just building pavement. We are excited to continue to provide these services to our current and future clients for the next 30 years and beyond.”
